Advisable to run MariaDB’s AriaDB engine’s /var/lib/mysql/[databases] folder over Amazon EFS with transaction = 1 for the database creation process?

Advisable to run MariaDB’s AriaDB engine’s /var/lib/mysql/[databases] folder over Amazon EFS with transaction = 1 for the database creation process?

Since AriaDB performs table level locking and only .MAD, .frm, .MYI files, I have mounted AWS EFS as an external nfs drive mounted for /var/lib/mysql/[databases]

Rationale of doing so is so that the mariadb database can grow without worrying overcapacity over conventional methods. Any gurus want to give their opinion on this? Else what db engine is suitable to be ran on AWS EFS as aforementioned use case?
