On my jenkins/jenkins container (which I presume is running on top of an Ubuntu image), I’m getting an error while curl any https site, such as https://www.google.com, as below:
* error setting certificate verify locations: CAfile: /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt CApath: /etc/ssl/certs
Googling some answers, I decided to reinstall my ca-certificates package. Fact is, whenever I run
apt install ca-certificates –reinstall
I get the following error:
Unpacking ca-certificates (20200601~deb9u1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/ca-certificates_20200601~deb9u1_all.deb (--unpack): unable to install new version of './etc/ssl/certs': No such file or directory dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/openssl_1.1.0l-1~deb9u2_amd64.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/ca-certificates_20200601~deb9u1_all.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
I even tried removing and installing the package to no avail: same error.
