Which Apple or Beats earbud models (if any) have sound isolation (don’t have air vents that allow room noise in)?
I can find no mention of noise or sound isolation in the marketing material of AirPods or Powerbeats.
Some places I looked: No mention of sound isolation at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210633(Choose your AirPods Pro ear tips and use the Ear Tip Fit Test) (just ANC) or at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201125(About your Beats eartips)
No identification of Noise-isolating models at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201129(About Beats noise cancellation and noise isolation)
The AirPods Pro have an air vent and I didn’t perceive any sound isolation when they were in and off, vs. not in at all.
Yes, I’m aware of the ANC/Transparency(w/customization under Accessibility)/Conversation Boost/Off settings, but they don’t directly address the question.
I get the feeling that the air vent has to be there to provide great sound quality, but Apple avoids talking about it.
ANC is good, but I’d rather have sound isolation + ANC, not one or the other, as I find the hiss of ANC annoying at times. So I’m thinking I have to go with non-Apple earbuds if I want this.
