google analytics – Redefine sessions or create a new site view metric

I was frustrated with the way sessions are recorded. I wanted to create a custom metric suitable for site visits. It would work much like the session, but if someone leaves the site and comes back from the same or another referrer or directly, the metric increases the number. When someone visits other pages on the site, the metric does not increment the count indefinitely.

So far, I'm trying to use sessionControl to start a new session for a website entrance, but I'm not sure how to implement it properly, or if that's right, because I would sacrifice the unlimited timeout or if Is there any right methods with Google Tag Manager and DataLayer?

Any help would be appreciated

Display – 2nd monitor shows distorted image in native resolution with Ubuntu on laptops

I'm having problems with a second monitor on laptops that use Ubuntu or Ubuntu-based distros:

When connected via HDMI (option only) with my 27 "Samsung monitor, it will display as Samsung 7". The image is completely distorted and halved when the left and right sides turn on at 60×1080 the native resolution at 1920×1080.

When it is lowered, it works, but with little flicker and many bars showing through the display.

Used laptops:
– ASUS B43V Ubuntu and Mint (both last) with the same problem.
– Chromebook HP 14 (old) with GalliumOS (Xubuntu)
with exactly identical results.

Monitor and HDMI cables work well with Win7 and even with Linux Mint on my PC (where the display is displayed correctly as 27 inches)
At first I thought that this problem was due to the 2 graphics cards in the ASUS, but recently I got the Chromebook and since it had the same problem, I was surprised.
I've tried different forums on the ASUS in the past (changed resolution with Xrandr and Bumblebee setup), but never found a working solution.

The B43V is currently running because of issues with Win 7, and I can not use the Chromebook as intended.
Any help or suggestion would be helpful.

PS: I remember playing around with ASUS and Mint a few years ago, maybe Mint 13, with no problem with the display. Playing around means installing, troubleshooting problems that arise with the help of Google, despairing about non-fixable issues, then uninstalling … I'm still pretty new to Linux.

If you want to see the output of some commands, write the commands and I'll output the result (from the Chromebook).

Terminology – term for function that does not represent anything in the range of size one

I realize that this is a bit pedantic, but I'm not sure if there is a term for a function that does not map from any domain to a region of size one. I'm a programmer, not a mathematician, but I've been thinking of a general case for a single variable. Something like

f (x) = x

int f (int x) {returns x; }

is a linear representation of the integer domain to the integer codomain. If I had:

g (x) = 4

int g (int x) {returns 4; }

again, this is a linear mapping of the integer domain to the integer codomain with a range of size 1. I am not sure that this is mathematically correct, but if I had the following:

h () = 5

int h () {return 5; }

this takes no input, so there is no domain ?, but the codomain is still integers and the range is size 1. Is there a special term for it?

Some backgrounds interested me in this question when I realized (although the definition of tensors may vary) that singular numbers are tensors (scalars). I want to know if singular numbers can also be called a special case of functions.

In summary, I want to know two things: first, if it is a valid question that needs to be asked at all (does one function require a domain per definition?) And second, if there is a term for such a function, & # 39; h () & # 39 ;. ,

Is it better to avoid using the Windows File Explorer to copy a large folder?

Using Windows File Explorer to copy a large folder is not very helpful for two reasons.

  • The main reason is that the file copy may fail for some reason. However, the file copy is never returned and it appears that the copy is still running, even though it's stuck. This can waste time for the user.
  • If it failed due to an error, it does not show why it failed and what the problem was.

For example, this file copy may fail because 40 GB of data had an invalid link where the destination was missing. The copy fails, but you will never know, and it seems that the folder is being copied forever. There could be other causes of error that we would not know.

Solutions:

  1. It's best to copy large files from the command line and use `xcopy '. The advantage is that if it fails, it will return immediately and you will know it. That is, it will fail with the above situation (invalid link), but an error will be issued.
  2. The best choice is to provide a blind copy that does not care about the files but copies bits to bits. The best tools are scp or & rsync & # 39 ;, but they are not readily available on Windows.

Use SCP on Windows

Install cygwin on Windows and use scpFrom the shell, do the following to copy c: BigFolder to a USB drive. F: BigFolderBackup /

scp -r / cygdrive / c / BigFolder / / cygdrive / f / BigFolderBackup /

Where -r for recurring copy, ie copy all subfolders and their files.

Monitor – Sudden tip in incoming bytes at HAProxy

I looked at the real-time data in Google Analytics and found that pageviews suddenly dropped 50% for a short period of time. The decline was around 6.28PM.

When I noticed that, I went into the Datadog dashboard and immediately saw the following:

Enter the image description here

This peak occurred about the same moment. The graphic above is haproxy.frontend.bytes.in_rateWhat Datadog defines as the "rate of bytes in frontend hosts".

It jumped from 18 bytes per second to 53 bytes per second.

Does anyone know what might have caused this or how I could continue to debug these types of spikes?

Many Thanks,
Wayne

advertising

yu no, do not do it

You can promote virtually anything here with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads, and CPC context links. You can target relevant areas of the site and view ads based on the user's geographic location, if you so desire.

Starts at just $ 1 per CPM or $ 0.10 per CPC.

Backlinks from Yahoo answers

YA links are not follow-up pages but are of indirect use for SEO or ranking for 3 reasons:

1) The directly relevant traffic to your website is interpreted by Google as a sign that the website is legitimate as visitors are disconnected from the search engines. As a result, it is classified higher and possesses more natural authority. In contrast, Google treats many sites as artificial, which can contain hundreds of do-follow backlinks, but only a small fraction of actual traffic.

2) Relevant, but not tracked, backlinks are also expected by Google to be part of the profile of a natural-authority site, whereas sites with nothing but a "do-follow" link are considered artificial and therefore ranked lower.

3) Depending on the keyword or niche, the highest placement for a term may include a YA page. Visitors who click on a YA URL on page 1 of the SEs will follow the site link in a YA response to your niche site.
