I am an SEO guy and do not have enough knowledge about web development and coding. So I need your help with the problem mentioned below.
Actually, I just set up a 301 redirect (in .htaccess file via cPanel) for 1 URL on my site and found an error message when saving the file:
"The quota may have been exceeded: Bad file descriptor"
I googled something about this bug and found some reasons / suggestions, such as: my hard disk is full, the existing hosting package is being updated, and some unnecessary files are being removed
clear the root and some space, disable the plugins, etc.
Then I removed the newly added line and saved the file (old existing file), but I still get the same error message. Why do I get this message when I did it?
Do not add an extra word in the already existing files.
I just add half a line to the 301 redirect .htaccess file and found this error message. Can adding half a line cause this error as well?
Can I solve this problem in a different way (except for the reasons / suggestions given)?
What is the best way to solve this problem?
Do I have to consider only the reasons / solutions mentioned?
I need your help.
