forms – Views ajax refresh fails on page

I have been trying for some time to get a view with two editable fields to refresh when one of the fields is changed. I’m currently working with an editable radio checklist which is dependent on a taxonomy select. In Views, I have the two fields selected and set to editable. When I change the value in the select field, the radio checklist automatically refreshes as the changes take effect.

When I put this block onto my site, however, this refresh action is lost. So far I have tried:

  1. creating the view as a page with no blocks
  2. creating the view as a block and placing it in a panel page
  3. creating the view as a block and setting it on a standard page region through the block manager

None of these solutions work.

I’ve tried with and without Views Flag Refresh, which also works in the Views environment, but fails on the page. This issue seemed promising, but didn’t work. Refreshing a block using AJAX (stackexchange) seemed promising, but I’m working with editable fields, so injecting jquery into the form is beyond my capabilities.

I’m currently working along the lines of:

$('#edit-field-select').click(function() { $('#edit-submit').triggerHandler("click");

to try to trigger the second field’s submit button when the editable field is changed, but my syntax isn’t right. I’ve also tried this with .change(function() and .mousedown, with no luck.
