Why I can’t add a custom SMTP server for sending an email out as a different account in the Google Workspace account (that I’m paying for), but I can do it in the free “@gmail” account?
In “Google Admin > Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > End User Access”,
Allow per-user outbound gateways setting is ON:
I have 3 emails:
- email@example.com (email is hosted by Google Workspaces – G Suite; my primary account)
- firstname.lastname@example.org (email is hosted by hosting company and I want to be able to send from that account via their SMTP through email@example.com Gmail interface)
But I can configure SMTP (“Send mail as”) for
firstname.lastname@example.org only in the
email@example.com settings. If I try to configure “Send mail as” for firstname.lastname@example.org in email@example.com, it doesn’t show any options for SMTP. Why?
I want to get rid of
mailed-by: gmail.com. It should be
