macos – Terminal windows not restored after reboot

I’m using macOS High Sierra, and I usually have 20-40 Terminal windows open at a time. In the past, whenever I rebooted my laptop, the terminal windows would all reopen after reboot, and I could see the history (of commands and outputs) in each terminal window. However, when I reboot today, these Terminal windows did not reopen for some reason, so I have lost all my history in my previous terminals. Is there anything I can do to recover them?
