I was able to set up different websites/stores with different domains in Magento 1.9.4 in a very easy way:
1. Add the 2nd domain as an Alias in the Control Panel 2. Create a new root directory 3. Create a new website, store and store front and assign it to the new root directory 4. Specify the Base URL in the correct Configuration Scope for the new website/store/storefront 5. Add a few lines in the .htaccess file, located in the root directory of the Magento installation
This whole process was simple and quick (took less than 15 minutes) and it worked! Much like the steps here:
Now I’m setting up a new secondary website/store/storefront with it’s own domain on a new Magento 2.4.1 install. I’ve googled the steps and found dozens of websites which all seem to have a different process of achieving this. Most insist on some kind of Apache configuration via SSH root access?
Is there an easy way (perhaps somehow similar to what I used to do on Magento 1.9.4) to set up a new website/store/store front on Magento 2.4.1 with it’s own domain?
I have already done steps 1-4 from above in my new Magento 2.4.1 install. It’s the additional steps I find (unnecessarily?) difficult.
