Original Bitcoin core has a script.cpp.wo is the Interepreter for it? I would like to write Hello World Compiler to understand that.?

How to understand script.cpp and its interpreter. I understand the registry and postfix operation.
I want to understand how script is broken down into machine code. I can write Hello World, for example by putting value in the stack.
