I have an email account which was added through the Check mail from other accounts feature working within Gmail. This was working fine until today. Now when I try to edit the email settings of the email account and press save, I now get the following error
Server returned error: “SSL error: Leaf certificate is expired”
I contacted my email provider and they said that the SSL certificate had been renewed and they said
The issue is the SSL certificate for URL Redacted was renewed last week and the old one expired. The errors are related to your computer or network router holding onto cached information for the old one.
I have tried resetting my network and my computer but it didn’t seem to clear the cached information as I still couldn’t reconnect the email account.
Is there anything else I can do to clear out the cached information from my computer. Or are there any other ways that I might be able to solve this problem? Or do I just have to wait it out until Google sees the new certificate (if so then is there any indication regarding how long this will take)?
