I’m trying to run:
netdom computername <computername> /remove:<alias.domain.local>
But it throws “The system cannot find the file specified”, altough if i run
/enum after this the alternate name is gone.
My user has full access on the
<computername> AD object and I’m logged on locally on the computer which I’m trying to remove the alternate name from.
If i (after the
/remove failed) run
/add:<alias.domain.local> and then
/remove:<alias.domain.local> the command completes successfully.
Can’t really find anyone else that has experienced this when searching, hoping someone here is familiar with the problem. The server in question has been upgraded from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2 and the alternate name was added when it was 2008 R2 if that makes any difference.
