exchange rate – What caused bitcoin to fall ~$10k on 17 April 2021?

Bitcoin to USD exchange rate has been historically very volatile, but the recent (e.g. past 12 months) largest daily movements of ~$5k after Elon Musk tweeted about Telsa buying bitcoin, and ~$3k after Coinbase’s IPO. But a ~$10k fall is larger in magnitude than both of those major events combined.

Did any specific event(s) trigger this fall (and if so, what were they), or was it simply market volatility?

During COVID, which Schengen Zone countries can be entered through non-Schengen corridor countries, without quarantine? (April 2021)

As a resident of Ukraine (US passport holder), I’d like to know which Schengen Zone countries can be entered (for tourism purposes) without requiring quarantine time, when entered from a corridor country.

For example, Malta lists that travelers from Turkey can enter, assuming they’ve been in Turkey for the past 14 days.

So one could visit Turkey for 14 days, then visit Malta, then presumably visit other Schengen Zone countries from there.

I’d like to know if there are other similar “corridor countries” options available to enter the Schengen Zone, that allow bypassing quarantine time (COVID tests are no problem).

2021 Hot Trend – Short Shorts for Men

You might see that new trend this summer with men wearing short shorts! The saying used to be that when the economy was good that women’s hemlines go up and now the new saying is when the price of Bitcoin goes up then up goes men’s hemlines LOL

So what do you think?

france – Intra-Schengen travel in April 2021

In terms of visa, it shouldn’t be an issue as long as the visa is valid (and ideally that the “main purpose” of your travel remains in the country which issued the visa), though expect passport/visa checks while travelling between Greece and France, contrary to normal Schengen rules.

However, in terms of the ever-changing Covid restrictions:

  • France is currently under lockdown. All bars, restaurants, museums, malls, non-essential shops, etc. are closed.

  • You are not allowed to travel within France.

  • You need to have a PCR test less than 72 hours old

  • You need to present a signed declaration

I believe Iceland is no longer under lockdown, but they do have a quarantine regime in place. Italy is in lockdown.

Basically, definitely not the right time to do sightseeing…
