Security – macOS: Blacklist applications and processes

I need something like a firewall, but instead of restricting network traffic, I want to be able to prevent scripts, applications, and processes from running at all.

For example: Adobe software. Every time you start an Adobe application, a dozen other faulty, resource-intensive, Internet-connected (and yes, I say: often questionable / suspicious) processes seem to occur in the background, sometimes taking up gigabytes of storage space (because, virtual memory) .. you get the idea ..

Instead of constantly looking for unwanted processes, fixing errors and having to end them individually. I just want you to:

a) Dying. Fast, quiet, without manual user intervention.

Or (preferred):

b) Prevented from ever spawning.

To clarify my point of view: moments after a new operating system update and a mandatory restart of the system (the longer you linger between the restarts, the more they seem to accumulate):

supplement

Don't get involved with the Adobe aspect. The question is not specific to Adobe. They are just an easy target for a quick example because they stubbornly hurt me.

To clarify, the question is about locking software so you can prevent it from running on the device without having to remove it completely. It doesn't matter which software you want to blacklist or why. It could be something ordinary Safari.app or Notes.app or hello_world.py, or what ever.

Yes, it is real software. No, it's not a dirty, cracked Russian torrent backdoor keylogger deal. Yes, it can be surprisingly invasive. No, it is not the latest version (for plugin compatibility reasons). Yes, most – if not all of the processes listed above are likely to have legitimate purposes too: directory synchronization, crash reports, logging services, which are sometimes practical but always annoying.

No, I don't think the old one chmod Benefit is really appropriate at this level. I remember reading about an Apple style .plist/.xml Solution to this kind of thing. I don't know enough about it to say if it's the right approach.

SEO – Will Google blacklist my site for inserting relevant but duplicate articles?

I work in a small startup and we strive to rank high on Google for search queries that are relevant to our site.

Because "content is king" in terms of SEO, we'd like to add articles to our site that are relevant to our business in order to rank higher on Google search queries.

Some newspapers have already written articles about us, and we would like to publish these articles on our website (with permission of the publisher).

The question is whether we are blacklisted by Google to duplicate content from other websites (ie the Newspapers website where our article is also located) or whether we will be rewarded for having us create new relevant content on our website.

Will Google SEO blacklist my website for inserting relevant articles?

mod rewrite – Block bad bots with mod_rewrite and save them on the blacklist

I have a WP site in a shared hosting server (LAMP stack).

Many 404 errors (security plug-in log file) are displayed for bots that are looking for a non-existent WP login URL (for example, Example.com/en/wp-login.php).

Trying to block them with a rewrite rule like this:

   RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /en/wp-login.php$
   RewriteRule ^.* - (F)

1) I would have to catch all possible calls to wp-login.php (any subdirectory / en / / fr / and so on …)

A condition like this should work?

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(.*)/wp-login.php$

2) I would like to automatically save all IPs of bots in a blacklist as soon as they look for the file wp-login.php.

I found this script to blacklist and search for IPs to block them:

    RewriteMap    hosts-deny  "txt:/path/to/hosts.deny"
    RewriteCond   "${hosts-deny:%{REMOTE_ADDR}|NOT-FOUND}" "!=NOT-FOUND" (OR)
    RewriteCond   "${hosts-deny:%{REMOTE_HOST}|NOT-FOUND}" "!=NOT-FOUND"
    RewriteRule   "^"  "-"  (F)

Any idea how IPs are automatically stored in the Deny Hosts file?

Thanks for any advice.

greetings
