dnd 5e – What happens to an Artillerist artificer’s Eldritch Cannon if the Artillerist falls unconscious?

You are correct: the Eldritch Cannon stays around.

As stated in the quote you gave, the cannon only disappears if it runs out of HP or time, or if you actively dismiss it. If you fall unconscious or even die, there is no rule that says the cannon would disappear, so it doesn’t.

The next line answers the rest of your question:

On each of your turns, you can take a bonus action to cause the cannon to activate if you are within 60 feet of it.

Since the cannon only does anything if you use a bonus action to activate it, if you can’t take bonus actions, it just sits there and waits.

dnd 5e – What happens to an Eldritch Cannon if the Artilerist falls unconscious

The Eldritch cannon is a magical object created by an Artillerist:

The cannon is a magical object. Regardless of size, the cannon has an AC of 18 and a number of hit points equal to five times your artificer level. It is immune to poison damage and psychic damage. If it is forced to make an ability check or a saving throw, treat all its ability scores as 10 (+0). If the mending spell is cast on it, it regains 2d6 hit points. It disappears if it is reduced to 0 hit points or after 1 hour. You can dismiss it early as an action.

The three options given for cannon disappearing are:

  • Cannon HP = 0
  • 1 hour has passed
  • Dismissed as an action

So presumably the Artillerist falling to 0 hp doesn’t affect the cannon; it will remain but will be inactive until the Artillerist has been revived. Is this interpretation correct?

Which one should I get, Cannon M50 or Nikon D7100? or anything else with a similar price range?

I’m an amateur when it comes to photography. I never had a camera before. I’m trying to get a camera for the first time. For hobby. Aiming for the astrophotography/landscape. I was trying to find myself a camera and I can afford either Canon M50 or Nikkon D7100. But I couldn’t decide which one will be better. There is a lot of comparisons between these two on online but it’s needless to say as an amateur I do not understand anything from those comparisons. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on which one should I pick.

  • Nikon D700 comes with 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 Auto Focus-S DX VR ED Nikkor lens?
  • Canon EOS M50 Mirrorless comes with EF-M 15-45mm ?
  • Or if you have any suggestions about other cameras with lense within ~$650 range ?

usa – Bus between Cannon Beach, Oregon and Oswald West State Park

If you download the pdf schedule at the link you provided, you will see three bits of ‘rider info’ that are applicable:

  • When flagging a bus along the route, choose a
safe location where the bus driver can easily
see you, can safely pull off road and where you
are not at risk from other vehicles.

Ok, so you can flag the bus, you don’t have to get it at an official stop.

  • Signal bus with a two-handed wave. Check the
destination sign to ensure proper bus.

Be obvious when flagging it, a subtle gesture isn’t going to attract attention.

  • Let driver know where you will be stopping, or
when available, pull the stop cord near your
seat prior to your requested stop.

Similarly, you can get off between ‘official’ stops, but let the driver know you are going to do so reasonably early.

usa – Can I walk along the ocean from Cannon Beach, Oregon, to Hug Point or Adair Point?

Satellite view on Google maps suggests that I can go to the Hug Point but not past it. Or does everything depend on the tide?
If so, and if this isn’t considered offtopic, then how to determine when the tide is low enough? I can find the tide information, but I can’t “read” it so to speak.

druid – Artificer Eldritch Cannon Protector temp hit points and Wildshape

I’m trying to understand how wild shape interacts with the temp hit points provided by eldritch cannon’s protector feature.

Here is the scenario:

  1. Artificer puts out eldritch cannon and gives temp hit points to the party
  2. Druid wild shapes
  3. Druid takes damage
  4. Artifcer re-applies temp hit points in the next round

My question is more or less order of operations with hit points. Does the druid wild shape carry those hit points and we remove that damage first? In this scenario every time the artificer applies temp hit points it buffs the wild shape form and allows for the druid to stay in wild shape much longer.

Or do we exhaust the wild shape hit points first and apply the temp hit points to the druid’s form that will be waiting for them after the druid breaks wild shape.

Essentially I need to know if temp hit points provided by the artificer allows for the druid to stay in wild shape longer.

dnd 5e – Can an Artificer’s eldritch cannon work with the use of the Rogue’s sneak attack ability?

The eldritch canon would not qualify you to benefit from the second method of using sneak attack.

You don’t need advantage on the attack roll if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn’t incapacitated, and you don’t have disadvantage on the attack roll.

The important part of the eldritch canon in this scenario is

The cannon is a magical object.

The eldritch canon is a magical object. While it has many unique properties that the artificer can activate which may seem like a creature. It is still just a magical object.

It is no more a valid enemy for the target than if you had a magic sword or shield. I do not believe anyone would argue that using a magic sword automatically qualifies you for the sneak attack bonus. (and a sentient magic sword is much closer to a creature as it has its own personality)

Some important tweets on the subject: Enemies and allies While not officially Rules as Written, Jeremy Crawford is the rules designer and his answers are considered official rulings. In this tweet he says that the illusion cannot provide the benefit of sneak attack, because its not a creature, and thus not an enemy or ally.

Spiritual Weapon Sneak Attack Here he confirms that spiritual weapon does not count as an enemy.

Furthermore you can consider on here :What is an Enemy? Where its made abundantly clear that the intent of the developers is that creatures are enemies.
