teleportation – How does Jumper work with Warp in terms of carrying people with you?

Someone with the Jumper (world-jumper) advantage can escort other people with the Jumper (world-jumper) advanatge, according to b. 64. You can also take warp and the warp jump enhancement, to be able to teleport on the world you are visiting. Would this allow you to bring along other people on your warps when you are Warp Jumping? Would you be able to bring Jumpers along on Warps that remain on the same world?

privacy – No Graphene or Lineage support…am I stuck carrying a google-tracker now? (LG “Journey” on Tracfone)

I prefer flip phones but now I need web access while on job-site, I don’t know why I thought I could just put Lineage onto any handset (swore you could just root a phone and put a new OS on, didn’t recall it being model-specific but haven’t used smartphones for nearly a decade)

What can I do to eliminate, or reduce if that’s all I can do, my “google footprint” here? I’ve used ADB to remove every package with “google” in the title but that doesn’t remove all the google stuff (and some of it simply cannot be removed, one of them – if removed – makes it so the phone will go into an endless loop upon reboot, requiring a full hard-reset)

Thanks a ton for any advice, I know about F-Droid and am using the duckduckgo browser and FOSS alternatives to, say, Calendar adn Youtube-viewer but the fact it’s still on this device/hardware that seems to have “Google” tattoo’d to its bones is bothersome, any & all things I can do to ameliorate this would be greatly appreciated!!

customs and immigration – Carrying Exhibition items From India to Dubai & Back

I am attending an exhibition in Dubai, & i intend to carry the exhibit items with me as check-in baggage.

The items are surgical instruments and none of those items contain Lithium batteries. They are also not under any goods which can be classified as Dangerous goods. The value of the goods is Indian Rupees (INR) 1,00,000 /-

I am exploring the following scenarios with respect to clearing the items at respective customs:

  1. Using an ATA Carnet:
I am filling the Carnet and creating documentation for it, But can i clear it myself as an exporter instead of using a clearance agent? Can the same be done at Dubai Customs?

  2. Declaring at Customs section:
Can I declare the items of such nature at Mumbai Customs, Do i need to pay import duty as checked on cybex.in, which is as follows:

Assessable Value – (A)
(CIF Value + 1% Landing Charge of CIF) (A) 101000.00

Basic Duty – (B) (A) x Basic Duty R ate 10 (B) 10100.00

Preferential Duty – (B)
(A) x Pref. Duty Rate 0 (B) 0.00

CVD: Additional Duty – (C)
(A+B) x CVD Rate 12 (C) 13332.00
Central Excise Edu Cess – (D)
(C) x Central Excise Edu Cess ra te 3 (D) 399.96
Customs Education Cess – (E)
(B+C+D) x Customs Edu. Cess ra te 3 (E) 714.96
Special CVD – Special Duty – (F)
(A+B+C+D+E) x Spl. CVD rate 4 (F) 5021.88

Total Custom Duty (A+B+C+D+E+F) INR 29568.80

Do i need to pay similar Duty during Import into Dubai?

Again the question arises, Can i clear this at the Customs section myself as the exporter of goods

sharepoint online – Custom CSS hide O365 header carrying to new site when opened in same tab

I have added a custom css spfx extension which simply hides the O365 header below HubNav modern.
Now issue arises when user clicks on a link which opens in same tab, the site they navigate to is also having the css applied even though my spfx extension is applied to just the hub site home. The new site home page has header hidden, but clears off when refreshed.

Is there any way to clear the css by checking if the page is navigating away?

Any other ideas?

dnd 5e – How much does a sprite familiar’s equipment count against its carrying capacity?

Your quote from the PHB is leading you astray. Those aren’t general rules for carrying capacities a la 3.x, those are rules that tell ‘you’ (i.e. someone statting a PC) how much weight that PC can carry. The design paradigm in 5e is such that they don’t need to make the rules work for sprites or any other monster-like thing, because they know that all PCs are Medium or Small humanoids, and any exceptions to that will be handled exclusively by the race description section, as far as the 5e paradigm is concerned.

Sprites aren’t a playable race, and there’s no subsystem for penalizing monsters for carrying too much or prohibiting them from lifting more than a certain amount, generally. Moreover, since they are Tiny, one should reasonably expect the rules to be somewhat different.

If the DM cares about tracking encumbrance, they will need to come up with rules for the sprite. Probably they will give it a multiplier to how much it can carry and how much its equipment weighs. If they care particularly much and/or it matters, they will reduce equipment weight more than carrying capacity to account for smaller creatures having lower strength scores, generally.

If the DM doesn’t care about encumbrance, they will just give the sprite disadvantage when they are doing stuff that should be affected by carrying too much and carrying what seems to the DM at the time like ‘too much’, and not let it pick up stuff that’s ‘too heavy’, subjectively.

dnd 5e – Does a sprite familiar’s equipment count against its carrying capacity?

5e offers no guidance on the subject of equipment weight for differently sized creatures

Unlike previous editions, nowhere in 5e’s published rules is the question of equipment weight for larger or smaller creatures addressed. The DMG’s section on designing new monsters briefly addresses weapons sized for larger creatures:

Big monsters typically wield oversized weapons that deal extra dice of damage on a hit. Double the weapon dice if the creature is Large, triple the weapon dice if it’s Huge, and quadruple the weapon dice if it’s Gargantuan.

But this is only about the damage the weapon deals. Weight is not addressed. As written, all equipment weighs the same no matter what size it is. This is obviously nonsense, but 5e’s design has made a deliberate decision to elide these kind of concerns (in contrast to previous editions which cover this subject in much more detail). If the DM wants to get into this level of detail, they must decide for themselves what rulings to apply.

Personally, when I adjudicate item weight by creature size, I find that the easiest way to do it in the context of 5e’s existing rules is simply to apply the same rules to equipment weight as apply to carrying capacity – which is to say, equipment for Tiny creatures weighs half what it normally does and equipment for creatures larger than Medium weighs double per step in size. It’s not the most realistic ruling you could make, but it is at least consistent with the game’s existing abstractions about weight and size.

dnd 3.5e – Is there any way to gain the endless special quality without carrying around a small necromantic magic item?

Dragon Magazine #354 has a fairly well-known special quality called endless, which prevents aging and all its normal effects, but is unfortunately not actually granted by its associated feat, Wedded to History. Within the pages of this magazine, the only way to gain the quality (DM fiat aside) is to have someone cast kissed by the ages on you, and then to forevermore give up a magical item body slot and risk taking a penalty if you ever lose the item–which also radiates enough necromancy to make many NPCs very uneasy.

But what about methods outside the pages of the magazine? Is there any sort of feat, feature, or other special means by which someone can gain this extraordinary special quality, without needing to go around holding a pseudo-phylactery?

Interview questions – carrying out traversing from the left or from the right

I saw Professor Sheep's Leetcode 140: Word Break II

Youtube video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pu9z4qxp76c

CPP code here:
https://github.com/jzysheep/LeetCode/blob/master/140.%20Word%20Break%20II.cpp

My own Python translation codes below. I think in this case the code can be optimized by crossing from right to left, since the code only starts with the last word. I passed both implementations to leetcode and executed the procedure from the left with 40 ms and the procedure from the right with 36 ms.

I don't think the left and right are the same. Just like functional programming, where foldLeft has advantages over foldRight in general (no language optimization or special cases). In this case, I think the right-to-left approach is an advantage.

Please help me to check my thinking or to prove myself convincingly.

legal – Obtain a Weapon Carrying Permit in a country where you work

I'm currently going to school to become an archaeologist and wondering if it's possible to get a gun license in another country if I'm working in a potentially dangerous situation where I'm in need of valuables. may be attacked excavations or for a reason that I can not control, such as a war. I have heard that it is possible with the written permission of the country you are entering, and I wonder what the probable cause is and how to do it. I also know that some of the archaeologists of the past of both British and American nationality carried pistols and rifles with them, for example in the Amazon Jungle as in the case of the Fawcett expedition, but these examples are not necessarily modern ones. Remember, I only want to take a weapon to the most dangerous places where my work might bring me. For example, in a war zone or in a place with high ground for protection, as in an area that offers a wilderness with little protection for all the intense claims of legal protection. And no, for all Englishmen, I do not intend to bring it to Britain or any of the larger European countries like Germany, Russia or France, all of which have adequate protection against prosecution for my concerns.
