plotting – Contour map without filled color

I would like to get a picture of a contour map like this:
enter image description here

I tried to modify the following code to remove the filled color on the contour map. So far I didn’t succeed.

 contourPotentialPlot1 = ContourPlot[-3600. h^2 + 0.02974 h^4 - 5391.90 s^2 +
   0.275 h^2 s^2 + 0.125 s^4, {h, -400, 400}, {s, -300, 300},
 PlotRange -> {-1.4*10^8, 2*10^7}, Contours -> 15, Axes -> False,
 PlotPoints -> 30, PlotRangePadding -> 0, Frame -> False, ColorFunction -> "DarkRainbow"];

potential1 = Plot3D[-3600. h^2 + 0.02974 h^4 - 5391.90 s^2 + 0.275 h^2 s^2 +
    0.125 s^4, {h, -400, 400}, {s, -300, 300},
   PlotRange -> {-1.4*10^8, 2*10^7}, ClippingStyle -> None,
   MeshFunctions -> {#3 &}, Mesh -> 15, MeshStyle -> Opacity[.5],
   MeshShading -> {{Opacity[.3], Blue}, {Opacity[.8], Orange}}, Lighting -> "Neutral"];

level = -1.2 10^8; gr = Graphics3D[{Texture[contourPotentialPlot1], EdgeForm[],
Polygon[{{-400, -300, level}, {400, -300, level}, {400, 300, level}, {-400, 300, level}},
VertexTextureCoordinates -> {{0, 0}, {1, 0}, {1, 1}, {0, 1}}]}, Lighting -> "Neutral"];

Show[potential1, gr, PlotRange -> All, BoxRatios -> {1, 1, .6}, FaceGrids -> {Back, Left}]

If we run the above code we would get a picture like this:

google sheets – How to get a value in context of a random filled cell

I have a field which needs to get a random value in context of another random value.

Let’s say I have a random person row
Person has a field with a favorite specific food.

I want to generate a random value for a food type and lookup a specific food.
So the first lookup from a random list is type of food: eg. pizza, and the second loopup is the detailed food, e.g. margarita.

How do I achieve this?

google sheets – Change the text string of a cell based on whether or not previous cells are filled

I am working on a spreadsheet that tracks the overall pipeline for video production for a group of volunteer filmers and editors. Being on as a volunteer manager myself, I wanted to create a spreadsheet to track the progress of these different groups.

I want to automate as much of this page as I can for everyone’s convenience, including myself, so we can quickly look at the progress of each video. (I am still working on the conditional formatting)

Pipeline Picture 1

At the end of the spreadsheet, I have a cell dedicated to listing what phase of production each video is in. (as noted in the picture as the “Phase Information” column.)

enter image description here

My main question is: Is there a way to automate this? For example, when all of the information is filled out for a specific phase (ie. Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, etc.,) the sheet automatically updates the cell at the end of the row, allowing me to use this information in different parts of the overall spreadsheet.

Any help with this project would be greatly appreciated!

google sheets – Auto generate named range when a cell is filled

I’m interested in auto generating named ranges for the sake of easy variable creation for formulas.
I generally use a tab called CONSTANTS while building calculators to help keep the data clean and traceable. Currently, every time I add a new constant, I have to:

  1. create a variable name ex. “Gravity” in A1
  2. in the adjacent cell, B2,type the value “9.8”
  3. Create named range “Gravity” that points to
    $B$1 containing “9.8”

What I would like to do is auto create a named range when a value is entered in column B and to name that range based on the adjacent cell.

Is this possible with formulas? I have not dealt with scripting yet and if it is scripted will it carry over with template if the user is not aware of how scripts work?

syntax – Auto-Populate Date in Column When Seperate Column Gets Filled

I’ve checked around a few other questions asked around this, but none have really applied to what I am looking for.

Using Sharepoint 2019 Online, we have a sheet that contains 12 different columns. What we want to do, is when someone puts in a number for “PO #” column, that “Date PO Issued” field automatically fill with todays date. This way we can avoid empty fields when accounting is entering info.

I’ve been toying with a few different calculated values, but none seem to be working. Is calculated value the place for this to be done? Can it even be done?

This is what I came up with for adding todays date

=DATE(YEAR(Today),MONTH(Today),DAY(Today))

Then tried to add on that to depend on column 2, which is titled PO #. None of these seemed to be proper syntax

=ISNUMBER((Col2))DATE(YEAR(Today),MONTH(Today),DAY(Today))

(IF((Column 2)="PO #",TEXT(NOW(),"mm/dd/yyyy"))

I appreciate it. Fairly new to administrating sharepoint, so still learning everything.

transaction log – What Query Filled My Log File

My Log file seems to have blown up overnight. I think it was around 50GB and is now 200GB. I want to find out if it was a bad query that someone ran, or if this is just normal growth. There is a lot of development happening on the instance. I ran this to try to identify long running queries that may have caused it:
SELECT st.text, qp.query_plan, qs.* FROM ( SELECT TOP 50 * FROM sys.dm_exec_query_stats ORDER BY total_worker_time DESC ) AS qs CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_sql_text(qs.sql_handle) AS st CROSS APPLY sys.dm_exec_query_plan(qs.plan_handle) AS qp WHERE qs.max_worker_time > 300 OR qs.max_elapsed_time > 300

The top 3 rows returned were for the same query: /* ================================================================ Object Name: dbo.fn_IsEdCptCode Created by: Creation Date: 1/13/2021 Purpose: Determines if a passed in code is a valid CPT Code for Emergency Dept Returns a bit 1=Yes 0=No Usage: Produces a year result based on the default date, GETDATE(), using the 'default' keyword(s): SELECT dbo.fn_IsEdCptCode('99283') SELECT dbo.fn_IsEdCptCode('ABCD') Server: Database: ------- Data Modifications ------- Date Author Changes Made ------------------------------------------------ ================================================================ */ CREATE FUNCTION (dbo).(fn_IsEdCptCode) ( @ProcedureCD VARCHAR(50) ) --Revenue Code to check RETURNS BIT AS BEGIN DECLARE @Found BIT SET @Found = 1 -- emergency cpt codes IF EXISTS( SELECT Code FROM Reference.HEDIS.ValueSetToCode edcpt WITH (NOLOCK) WHERE 1=1 AND edcpt.Code = @ProcedureCD AND edcpt.ValueSetName = 'ED' AND edcpt.CodeSystem = 'CPT' GROUP BY Code) BEGIN SET @Found = 1 END ELSE BEGIN SET @Found = 0 END RETURN @Found END

I think these are the pertinent stats.
enter image description here

Does this look like it could be the culprit? I’m not sure if the 322 million is the number of times the query ran?

Ultimately I guess I’m trying to determine if my Log file is now appropriately sized for the work that is going to happening there or if it’s oversized.

It’s SQL Server 2019.

What’s the best way to make a text field with a suggested value that is shown even after it is filled?

For example, let’s imagine a simple exercise tracking app. There’s a field where the user can input the target score (the score he wishes to obtain).

Then, after exercising, the user is presented a field asking what score was actually obtained. On the same field, I need a way to show the “target” value, as well as the input value.

For now, I’ve thought of showing the target value as a suffix, but I fear it isn’t obvious.

Example of field with suggested value

I could also simply show the target value in the field’s label: “Score (1000)”

Is there a more user-friendly approach? thank you

google sheets if/then formula. 2 sheets. Cell in Sheet 1 filled with info from sheet 2. If sheet 2 A1 = Sheet1 sheetname, then fill with Sheet 2 B1

If I have 2 sheets. Sheet 1 and sheet 2, (names will be changed)

I need an if/then formula to say

If sheet1 sheetname is “X” and “X” matches the name of Sheet2 A1 Fill a specific cell in Sheet 1
with the info from Sheet2 B1

So example:

Sheet1 is named “shot_001”. I want the result to end up in “Shot_001!C3”
Sheet2 is “All_shots” So I want to read and compare to see if “All_shots!A1” is equal to
“shot_001!” sheetname. If “shot_001!” sheetname matches “All_shots!A1” then paste “All_shots!B1”
into “shot_001!C3”

That way it’s a dynamic link based on the sheetname of “shot_001” if I duplicate it, and rename it to “shot_002” it will update to “All_shots!B2” Duplicate and rename to “shot_003” it will return “All_shots!B3” etc.

“All_shots” A1-A67 have incremental numbers “shot_001-shot-067” etc.
