8 – Draw line between markers of same type with Geolocation

Is there a way to draw lines between related nodes with the Geolocation module?

So lets say I have 9 nodes by using taxonomy terms they are separated in 3 groups of 3. Now I want to draw lines between the items in the same group on my Google Maps map (created with the Geolocation module). How can I do this.

I tried the drawing function in views but this connects all markers.

I also see there is a Geolocation Layer option in views, this feels like something I can use but I cant figure out how. For example there is no way to choose the drawing option when using a Geolocation Layer.

Is there a way to do this with the module or is it possible to do this with some custom code? Hope someone can point me in the right way.

To narrow down my question. I can add polylines to the map by using the following script:

When I add this to the modules .js file geolocation-google-maps-api.js directly the line is drawn. But how can I get this to work from an external script file?

I need to get map.googleMap to work. But just calling this in my external script gives a map is undefined error. So I need to find a way to load this map.

How can a site bypass VPN without using geolocation?

(I was instructed to repost if related questions didn’t answer my question. I’ll try to explain my question better.)

There’s a website and it shows two pieces of information when you chat with another user.

“IP location” and “Detected location”.

When I used a VPN (and WebRTC off), the “IP location” changed to the VPN location, but the “Detected location” remained the real location! So the site was able to bypass VPN.

Does anyone understand how this is possible?

I tried several other sites but not a single one was able to detect real location. Sites like https://www.iplocation.net only saw the VPN location. So I know the VPN is solid. Some sites use geolocation (e.g. https://gps-coordinates.org), but for that, the browser shows notification asking for permission. But in the case of this site, the browser didn’t give any location indication.

In related questions, there’s discussion about Google Maps, but on fresh browser even maps.google.com can’t bypass the VPN (and shows the VPN location). Then if you click on the small circle, browser will ask to allow location permission. So unless you allow GM can’t get your location.

So I’m curious to understand how is this possible?

Geolocation – How do I use Google Maps for speech output?

As we all know, there is voice-driven routing with the Android app.

In my case, I have no Android phone, but a real Core i7 laptop with a M.2-lte module and integrated GPS under Linux.

So I have internet access everywhere and the html5 geolocation API returns the exact location everywhere.

Since I do not want to simply print out the route and the direction of travel, how should the laptop in the car talk about driving directions according to GPS location via Google Maps in the web browser?

Basically, it is possible for Akka actors to know that they are deployed in, for example, the EU Zone, and that other actors know that they are deployed in North America … and that they are all part of the same distributed application
