IBM SPSS Statistics 24 provides customer-requested enhancements to some of the most popular practices and modules. In fact, we have worked closely with selected customers throughout the development cycle to meet your greatest needs and concerns. This resulted in a product release that feels refreshing as we address customer needs to improve existing analytical methods and product usability. The following is a summary of what's new in IBM SPSS Statistics 24:

– IBM SPSS Statistics Extensions for R, Python, and SPSS syntax. Extensions provide powerful features for you as an end user, as they constantly contain new content without the need to purchase or install a new product separately. This year, we made extensions as easy as possible. I recommend everyone today to try to download and build an extension by navigating to the new extension menu.
– Smarter import and export of records. Importing and removing data from IBM SPSS Statistics is now easier than ever. We know that our users primarily use Excel and CSV files to import and export data. Therefore, we have prioritized the usability of these channels. Simplified import saves you hours with our new intelligent import algorithms. Just try importing a text or excel file to see how fast you get from the raw data to the statistical findings.
– Custom tables are updated. Custom Tables is one of our most popular modules. The drag-and-drop interface is easy to use and provides the ability to generate everything from simple summaries to large statistical outputs. We've made this process even more powerful by adding new statistical features and customer-requested features. Navigate to the Analyze -> Custom Tables menu to try it for yourself.
– Other enhancements include a new, modern appearance for table output, Python 3 programmability, stored-feature recovery, support for additional date / time formats, and much more. See the full list of new features in the online product documentation.

About IBM IBM (International Business Machines) is one of the world's largest IT companies and offers a wide range of hardware, software and services.

IBM, often referred to as "Big Blue," began its first step in hardware and has flourished in the business for decades, becoming the leading supplier of mainframe computers. Over the years, the company shifted its focus from hardware to software and services. In the 2010s, IBM continued to change its business mix to highlight areas such as cloud-based services and cognitive computing. IBM Watson, a cognitive system, has become a highly visible offering in the latter technology segment. IBM, while still a major IT player, has lost its dominance during the mainframe era.
