geometry – Area of surface between two lines of latitude?

Start with a sphere of radius R, then take the part of the surface that exists between any two lines of latitude. I drew a pic with two examples, one near the equator and one near the pole.

enter image description here

What is the area of this blue section of surface? I don’t know what it’s proper name is, maybe a band or zone.

I did search around for this but I found a site that has a suspicious answer. There, they say it is simply 2piR*h, where h is the altitude between layers.

First of all, I don’t know how to determine altitude except at the equator where I can use a chord function C = 2R*sin(a/2), but you have to use twice the angle there and then take half the chord to get the altitude.

Second of all, I don’t understand how it can be purely based on h and not the cosine of latitude. A band near the pole will wrap around a much smaller part of the sphere. So the position of the band must be taken into account, not just its altitude (aka thickness in the projected cylinder).

So what is a good formula to find the area of a band between two lines of latitude? And if it really is only based on altitude, how and why?

c# – What’s should I call a Location (Longitude and Latitude) associated with a DateTimeOffset?

In the Xamarin.Essentials library there is a Location class that comes with a DateTimeOffset TimeStamp.

I know I’m being pedantic and I should just move on – I know it’s to indicate a location of the device at a moment in time, but I don’t like this. Locations in three-dimensional space have no associated concept of time.

What would be a better description (and class name) for “a device location at a given instant in time”? TemporalLocation? LocationInstant?

I’ve just installed ubuntu on my dell latitude 3410, but I cant get the audio working.
In the config, the audio output device says something like “fake output” and I see the bars moving when i play something on youtube. But there is no sound. Neither connecting the headphones. can anyone please help me? I’ve done this:

sudo apt install alsa-tools-gui
Run hdajackretask
Parser hints > jack_detect = no
Apply now
Install boot override

BUT in the left part of the screen there is message: “No codecs found”
Son I cant click “apply now” and “install boot override”

USB and Bluetooth stops working + failed suspend – Ubuntu 20.04 on Dell Latitude 5490

I’ve been having the problems with my laptop ever since upgrading to 20.04 (from 19.10). I am uncertain whether these issues are related, but I’ve chosen to create one post in case there is a connection as some post seem to indicate they might be. These are the problems:

  1. Suspend fails occasionally
  2. USB ports and Bluetooth suddenly stops working
  3. Bluetooth device disconnects from headset

Regarding the first issue: According to the link in this answer, suspend problems is related to the Intel i7 Kaby Lake integrated graphics and kernel versions after 5.1. I applied the kernel parameters intel_idle.max_cstate=1 i915.enable_dc=0 to /etc/sysconfig/grub as described. While this fix seem to have reduced the suspend fail rate somewhat, it does not remove the issue. From what I can tell, suspend still fails when certain programs are running. For example, suspend seemingly fails every time when either the Evolution email client or Steam is running.

The second and third issues involves external hardware connected to the laptop. I have a Logi MX Ergo trackball mouse connected through a USB transmitter and Bluetooth, an external screen and webcam connected through a Dell DisplayLink D6000 docking station, and a Sennheiser noise-cancelling headset connected through Bluetooth.

The mouse works for the most part without problems when connected through USB transmitter or Bluetooth. The docking station has been troublesome from the start, but upgrading to 20.04 has made it worse: The external screen will sporadically disconnect for for a few seconds, before image returns. Sometimes the screen image will freeze and all external USB and Bluetooth devices are disconnected. When this happens, only the integrated screen and mouse pad will work. Only rebooting will get external devices working again. As stated above, the headset will not connect to Bluetooth after upgrading. The following error messages were printed during my last reboot after the USB and BLuetooth devices failed:

enter image description here

Seemingly these issues are related to the docking station, and seem to occur more often after suspend, thoug I have no idea whether they are related. Any ideas what may be causing the problem and how it can be resolved?

networking – Poor Wifi Signal Strength on Dell Latitude Laptop with Ubuntu 20.04

Wifi signal strength is moderate at 3 meters from the router with no obstacles in the middle. The signal strength reduces if I move to 5 meters; and if I move to the next room, wifi disconnects. This laptop did not have a wifi problem with Windows installed. The Dell latitude laptop has ubuntu 20.04. I tried setting the ant_sel to 1 for iwlwifi and that did not help. The laptop uses Intel 3165 for wireless interface.

php – Save latitude and longitude values that were retrieved using JavaScript (in an HTML form) in BD

Well i think i am close to the solution but i need a new vision lol.

I have a form:

..................
Cancelar

At this point, where I have inserted several points (…….), I would like to determine the latitude and longitude of the user and send it to the database using this form.
I take latitude and longitude as follows:

This is my add () function; and so?

function add() {

    require_once('../config.php');
    require_once(DBAPI);

    if (!empty($_POST('formulario'))) {

        $formulario = $_POST('formulario');

        save($formulario);
        header('location: ../index.php');
    }
}

And the function save (); and so:

function save($data = null) {

  $database = open_database();
  $columns = null;
  $values = null;

  foreach ($data as $key => $value) {
    $columns .= trim($key, "'") . ",";
    $values .= "'$value',";
  }

  //remove a ultima virgula
  $columns = rtrim($columns, ',');
  $values = rtrim($values, ',');

  $sql = "INSERT INTO formularios ($columns)" . " VALUES " . "($values);";

  try {
    $database->query($sql);

    $_SESSION('message') = 'Formulario cadastrado com sucesso.';
    $_SESSION('type') = 'success';

  } catch (Exception $e) {

    $_SESSION('message') = 'Nao foi possivel realizar a operacao.';
    $_SESSION('type') = 'danger';
  }

  close_database($database);
}

I think it's about passing the LATITUDE and LONGITUDE variables from the script in the middle of the form to the variables form (& # 39; width & # 39;) and form (& # 39; length & # 39;), but I don't know and I don't think how I can do that.
I have already seen that the latitude and longitude recording function works. I managed to display the values on the screen and the browser asks if I want to grant access to my location.

Thanks in advance for your help.

C # – Do you need a regular expression for latitude and longitude that don't accept 0, 0.0, 00?

Used under regex for latitude and longitude. However, this regular expression accepts 0.

width

^(\+|-)?(?:90(?:(?:\.0{1,6})?)|(?:(0-9)|(1-8)(0-9))(?:(?:\.(0-9){1,6})?))$

Longitude

^(\+|-)?(?:180(?:(?:\.0{1,6})?)|(?:(0-9)|(1-9)(0-9)|1(0-7)(0-9))(?:(?:\.(0-9){1,6})?))$

I want my regex that didn't allow a single 0, 0.00.00

nikon d5600 – Remove the latitude and longitude screen when viewing a photo

Nikon D5600. I must have changed a setting and do not know how to hide the Latitude and Longitude screen when viewing photos. I.E. Black screen with "latitude and longitude" that I don't want, overlaying photo.

I am new to this camera and am trying to learn how to get the right settings for normal telephoto. I want to use manual mode, not automatic mode.

What would cause this screen to appear after taking photos? ( Just happened today when I tried to change settings, some of which I don't understand )

How do I change this setting again to display normal photos?
