cryptography – Need some Testnet Bitcoins. Tried a lot of faucets. Could you help?

Dear Bitcoin community.

I’m crypto enthusiast and software developer and I like to see adoption of BTC in other areas. There is a project (I don’t want to shill or advertise it) and they are building a bridge between Ethereum and Bitcoin. Now in order to test its performance they are incentivising people to come and swap test bitcoins for test tBTC (bitcoins on ethereum). I like their work and would like to help them. So I need bunch of test BTC to do it. Yesterday I tried 7 or 8 faucets but:

  1. Each propose max 0.01TBTC per hour.
  2. Most of them are broken

Could you please help me and send some Testnet Bitcoins? I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance.

P.S. Bitcoin is a freedom!

unity – Should I have a lot of references?

This is more of a best practices question. I’m developing the menu system for my game right now, and find myself needing to add a lot of references to panels, text objects, button, etc.. in the script. I’m doing this by creating a public field, then dragging and dropping it from the object hierarchy. I’m new to unity development, but not C# development in general so this practice leaves me uneasy, it feels kind of messy. So my question is, is this the best way to do it? I know about GetComponent, but that doesn’t seem much better, and I read that it’s slower. I’m not concerned about the inspector getting to unwieldy, just that I might be missing a better way. Thanks.

connection issues – I use my Samsung a10e for tethering to my Chromebook. Recently, after a recent update, I noticed that it keeps disconnecting a lot

A little bit of more information.

My phone is a Samsung a10e. My Chromebook runs Chrome OS, obviously.

Recently, I had a phone update a few days ago. Now, I’ve noticed that my phone keeps disconnecting at random intervals during the day. It has gotten very annoying, and I’ve tried a lot of things.

A shortlist:

  1. Completely shut down the phone and powered it back on
  2. Restarted the phone
  3. Reset network settings
  4. I tried looking into Chrome Connectivity Diagnostics, but unfortunately, my Chromebook is managed by school admins and they have rigorous blocking measures. I can’t really do many things, so if you suggest something, I’ll look into it, but I probably won’t be able to do it.

So yeah, the school admins control a lot of things and have disabled features that I can’t access. Hopefully, this can be solved on my phone, though.

EDIT: Sometimes when I turn off my phone it disconnects. When I place it down sometimes it disconnects. When I turn it upwards it disconnects. It’s been driving me crazy.

c++ – What is best design pattern to simplfy class with a lot of options to create it?

I have a base class (for example):

class base
{
private:
    std::string name;

public:
    virtual void set_name(const std::string& name) = 0;
    virtual std::string get_name() const = 0;
};
  • And 20 class inherited from it.
  • And I have a UI (build with Qt) which user can select type of class to create it.

for handle this i use enumeration type (for example):

enum class types
{
    TYPE_1,
    TYPE_2,
    TYPE_3,
    ...
    TYPE_20,
};

and i end up with a long switch-case for type creation (for example):

switch(user_selected_mode)
{
case types::TYPE_1:
    return std::make_shared<type_1>();
    ...
case types::TYPE_2:
    return std::make_shared<type_2>();
}

i think you can imagine the ugly code in other section of code which depend of type of objects.

How could i make it cleaner ?

terminal – How to move files from a lot of folders into a single folder without moving the folders themselves?

Let’s say I have the following files and folders.

High-Resolution Pics (Folder)
----WashingtonDC002.jpg
----WashingtonDC004.jpg

Low-Resolution Pics (Folder)
----WashingtonDC000.jpg
----WashingtonDC001.jpg
----WashingtonDC003.jpg

WashingtonDC005.jpg

WashingtonDC006 (Folder)
----WashingtonDC006.jpg
----UnimportantFile.txt

WashingtonDC007.jpg

WashingtonDC008.jpg

WashingtonDC009 (Folder)
----WashingtonDC009.jpg
----UnimportantFile.txt

I want to move all the images that are in the WashingtonDC folders into High Resolution Pics without taking all of the unimportant files along with it, and all the WashingtonDC images that aren’t in WashingtonDC folders into Low-Resolution Pics. How would I go about doing this through the terminal?

This is what the final result would look like.

High-Resolution Pics (Folder)
----WashingtonDC002.jpg
----WashingtonDC004.jpg
----WashingtonDC006.jpg
----WashingtonDC009.jpg

Low-Resolution Pics (Folder)
----WashingtonDC000.jpg
----WashingtonDC001.jpg
----WashingtonDC003.jpg
----WashingtonDC005.jpg
----WashingtonDC007.jpg
----WashingtonDC008.jpg
