lightning network – Can we use lnurl-auth to create a better password manager?

LNURL-auth can be used to implement registration/login in a web app in which users don’t need username/password or other credentials instead they can just use their LN wallet to login. However cannot be used if the website doesn’t support it so can we do this locally for websites using a browser add-on?

Right now only few websites support it including LNMarkets

I have also created an issue in btcpayserver repository to support it: https://github.com/btcpayserver/btcpayserver/issues/2004

How would LNURL-auth work with a password manager?

When you create a new password, the password manager uses the main lnurl-auth key to derive a key specific for that password(challenge: random value), uses that key to sign the challenge and then saves both the public key specific for that password plus the signed challenge locally.

lnurl-pwd-manage

When the user needs to login using one of the saved passwords in a website, scans a QR code shared by password manager browser add-on or enters some PIN used by internal LN wallet in pwd manager, it retrieves the public key, checks it against the challenge signature and attempts login for that user.

What are the pros and cons if this is possible?

I don’t understand the below part mentioned in this link: https://xn--57h.bigsun.xyz/lnurl-auth.html

In fact, lnurl-auth is very unique in the sense that it doesn’t even need a Lightning wallet to work, it is a standalone authentication protocol that can work anywhere.

Also I don’t know why linking LN wallet on https://lnmarkets.com requires user to pay 100 sats invoice. Is it added to avoid spam registrations?

lnmarkets-signup

I was not asked to pay anything to login on https://etleneum.com

password manager recommendation – Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange

I have a password manager called keepass installed on my laptop. I really like the feature of autotyping. But it cames to a android I have installed KeePassDx it is really annoying for me to unlock the database search for the entry a want, copy username, go to the browser, put the username, then go back to the app, copy the password, again go to the browser and paste it.
Is another method less painful, with less steps to do this?

Google tag manager and google analytics – Magento 2.4

I’ve installed Google analytics via the google tag manager. I’ve of course also installed google tag manager on our website. It even shows the tag green using the google tag manager assistant extension. No problem there.
But shouldn’t the google-analytics tag also be showing in the assistant? I’m pretty sure it’s working since it’s detecting activity in my google analytics console?

So what is this?

Thanks in advance.

I’m suspicious it has something to do with IPv6, but can’t confirm. I couldn’t find anything about VPN, GRE Protocol or Passthrough on my router configuration menu. How can I make it work using wifi or get a better understanding on what is failing?

Running Ubuntu 18.04.5

18.04 – Ubuntu won’t boot after update, failed to start user manager for uid, failed services on systemctl

After letting ubuntu (18.04) do an update, it won’t boot. Troubleshooting in recovery mode suggests that disk space is almost full (so might have gotten full during the update which messed it up). Removed ~10GB of files and used recovery mode “repair broken packages” etc but it still won’t boot.

Boot gets stuck on:

(OK) Started session c6 of user gdm.
(FAILED) Failed to start user manager for UID 121.
See 'systemctl status user@121.service' for details.
(OK) Removed slice user Slice of gfm.
(OK) Created slice user Selice of gdm.
(FAILED) Failed to start user manager for UID 121.
See 'systemctl status user@121.service' for details.
(OK) Started session c7 of user gfm.
( 67.044926) hdaudio hdaudioCOD2: Unable to bind to codec.

When I look at what failed on systemctl --all, I get the following services as failed / not-found / masked (pics below):
tmp.mount , auditd.service, blk-availability.service, connman.service, console-screen.service, festival.service, finalrd.service, kbd.service, kbd.service, lvm2-monitor.service, oem-config.service, resolvconf.service, sssd.service, systemd-sysuders.service, systemd-update-done.service, systemd-vconsole-setup.service, lvm2-lvmetad.socket, lvm2-lvmpolld.socket, all.target.
full systemctl log

What I tried:

  1. changed GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT from “quiet splash” to “nomodeset”, or to “”
  2. sudo apt update
  3. reinstall intel graphic drivers by:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-core
sudo apt install xserver-xorg
  1. ubuntu drivers autoinstall (nothing to install)
  2. reinstall desktop gui:
    sudo apt install –reinstall gnome-session
    sudo apt install –reinstall ubuntu-gnome-desktop
  3. apt -qq list gdm3

Would be extremely grateful for any help!
