## dnd 5e – Does a size large or larger creature killed by Negative Energy Flood rise as a medium sized zombie?

The spell Negative Energy Flood (XGtE pg. 163) states:

A target killed by this damage rises up as a zombie at the start of your next turn.

And also,

Statistics for the zombie are in the Monster Manual.

This seems to imply that the creature killed rises as a zombie with exactly the statistics stated in the Monster Manual.

If I kill a gargantuan (or anything larger than medium) creature with Negative Energy Flood, does it rise as a size medium zombie?

## dnd 3.5e – Do “Giant’s Stance” and “Improved Natural Attack” stack as a Medium character?

Giant’s Stance states the following:

While you are in this stance, you deal damage as if you were one size
larger than normal, to a maximum of Large.
This benefit improves your
weapon and unarmed strike damage. It does not confer any of the other
benefits or drawbacks of a change in size, such as a modifier to
ability scores or AC, or an improved reach.

while Improved Natural Attack states the following:

The damage for one of the creature’s natural attack forms increases by
one step
, as if the creature’s size had increased by one category:
1d2, 1d3, 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d6, 3d6, 4d6, 6d6, 8d6, 12d6. A weapon or
attack that deals 1d10 points of damage increases as follows: 1d10,
2d8, 3d8, 4d8, 6d8, 8d8, 12d8.

Giant’s Stance does have an upper limit (Large), therefore, as a Medium creature, with Improved Natural Attack making the character already Large, Giant’s Stance would have no effect. However, my thinking is that Giant’s Stance would make the character Large and after that, Improved Natural Attack would be counted as one step higher; that is, Huge.

Is this correct or do both affect the base size (that is, both convert from Medium to Large) and are therefore redundant?

## How do I add tables in Medium?

I’d like to add a simple table (as in Google Docs or other word processor), with links on some of the text. Medium.com does not seem to support this.

I have found some

• Yabwe is a “Medium editor”, but apparently is a clone, but cannot be used with Medium.com
• This article gives five approaches, including screenshot, plaintext tables, embedding Airtable, but these seem quite clumsy and do not support richtext with hyperlinks.
• Sheetsu has a solution, but this is for embedding sheets, not word-processor-tables. Richtext and hyperlinks not supported.

## dnd 5e – What is the best option between "half plate armor + skill + masterpiece medium armor" and "plate armor"?

I want to be a melee and am fighting to choose my armor for the build. I put my stats on my character when I define everything I want to do for my build. So let's say I can have the status and race you want to define which armor is better.

I hesitate between half a plate and plate armor whenever I can (which will be replaced by their magical version whenever I can, my DM allows us to buy magic items with gold).

On the one hand, Plate gives the best base AC, 18, and has a strength and stealth restriction that forces me to play only one way, but has the advantage that the only cost on the character sheet is a certain point have in strength.

On the other hand, the half plate gives 15 + Dex Mod (max 2) AC, which is less and with the same stealth limitation, but with the feat "Medium Armor" I can have the same amount of armor and play stealth if I have to . If I invest in dexterity seams, this is a better choice for me, as dexterity offers a far more useful save, more abilities affected, and a bonus to damage and attack rolls with some weapons.

Half-slabs look a lot better in my view, but most online builds I've found use plate armor rather than half-slabs, so I think I miss something crucial.

## Movement speed has no scaling or multiplier based on size

The movement does not scale based on size / space – no matter how big the creature is, if it has a movement speed of 30 feet, it can only move up to 30 feet (six squares on the standard grid scale), so if for example it was moving in a straight line, the front was 30 feet from where it started.

If it helps, imagine that the part that is actually moving is the center of the creature's space. The path this center takes must fit the creature's 30-foot movement speed, and you can move the center (either the intersection of the grid lines for a room of the same size or the central square for a room of an odd size) that Grid as if it were a normal medium-sized creature to calculate how far it can move (although of course note that the actual size of the creature must fit any way!)
