snapshot – Is it possible to configure sonatype nexus 3 as repository mirror

We need to use mirroring for different repository types. We need to provide:

So we consider to use sonatype nexus 3 (oss) as repository manager. Now we try to setup mirroring but unfortunately we only found options to setup hosted or proxy repositories.

Is there way to use nexus as a real mirror. Optionally it would be perfect if we can provide snapshots for given repositories.

lineageos – OS for Google Nexus 6P

I have Google Nexus 6P, which was produced by Huawei. It seems that I forgot the pattern for the login screen. The weird thing is, that I am quite sure that I have tried my password, but I just can’t get access. I cannot imagine that the phone just died on this particular aspect, so I guess I must remember wrongly.

I have been running Copperhead OS on the phone, so I do not see a way to recover my pattern.

Since I need to reinstal and OS, I would like to reinstall a – more or less – secure version. Copperhead OS has not been releasing security updates for quite a while now.

I looked into

  • Graphene OS, which is build by the former lead-developer of Copperhead OS, does not seem to support such old phones.
  • Replicant, Ubuntu Touch never supported my phone it seems.
  • I was not able to find out how do download Sailfish and whether it is compatible with my phone.
  • Lineage OS seemed to have (?) supported my phone but doens not anymore?

I am not quite sure what to do. Is there an OS that I missed, which OS can I use and what are the advantages/disadvantages of those OS?

It seems to me that Lineage OS is my best shot, but I am not sure.

password – Forgotten Swipe Pattern lock for Nexus 6P (but fingerprint works!)

I have a Google Nexus 6P with Copperhead OS installed on it. I forgot the pattern to unlock the screen. Is there any way I can recover (a part) of the data on my phone? I am pretty sure that the answer is going to be “no way”, but I just want to ask to make sure, before I wipe the phone.

I DO have a fingerprint in the phone, which works. Unfortunately – for some security reason – it wants the pattern as well.

Maybe I can add, that I kind of remember the swipe pattern. I am sure about a middle part, but not about the beginning and the end. Unfortutely I have tried so many combinations by now (even keeping a book), that I have to wait 240 seconds now until I am allowed to enter the next try. (First I had to wait 20, then 30, 60, 120 seconds, now 240.) I had about 55 tries by now.

Due to covid, nexus does not allow me to continue with renewal until 7/6/20. How can I file for a grace period (my bday is 1 day after 7/6)

Due to covid, nexus does not allow me to continue with renewal until 7/6/20. How can I file for a grace period (my nexus expires 1 day after 7/6/2020)?

IN addition, how do I confirm whether my renewal request has been accepted?

usb debugging – Nexus 5 not detected by ADB on Ubuntu

When I plug in my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1, into my Ubuntu 20.04 machine with ADB version:

Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.39
Version 1:8.1.0+r23-5ubuntu2
Installed as /usr/lib/android-sdk/platform-tools/adb

And when I run adb devices (as root and as user):

sudo adb devices
List of devices attached
(empty)

If I run lsusb the Nexus device still does not show up:

I may be changing employers before my NEXUS interview. Should I bring this up before the interview?

I applied for a NEXUS late last summer and only just heard back a few days ago. I’ve been conditionally approved, which means I’ve got to schedule an interview with some officials in-person before receiving a final approval.

One of the data points asked on the NEXUS application is your record of employment for the past several years. While I’ve put mine in accurately, I didn’t anticipate the process to be quite so slow, and it so happens that I’m looking at changing employers, and with NEXUS interview locations being closed across Canada for the foreseeable (except for one in New Brunswick, which is completely impractical for me), there’s a decent chance my employment history on the application will be out of date by the time I can schedule an interview.

If my employment changes before my interview, is this something I should bring up before, or at the interview? Is there a chance this will further extend the process?
