what server would i need to host 90 million pages on my website ?

i have this comparison website project that comperes about 3000 elements to each others and outputs a comparison result page, that’s 9 million pages, published in 10 languages so the final database will have 90 million pages, the website runs on wordpress, the space needed is about 100gb, my question is about the CPU, memory, the setup, and anything that i should be aware of with such a big database, i am not sure what i need, i am expecting a million visitors per month after a few months, but i also have to consider crawlers indexing and periodically recrawling those 90 million pages, thanks a lot of helping with this.

8 – Site’s home page is “Temporarily Unavailable”, but rest of pages are accessible

One of our sites’ homepage is displaying the generic “Temporarily Unavailable” 503 status message.
Just the homepage is affected, when I log in via Acquia Cloud Site Factory, I can access the other pages.
I’ve enabled the dblog module and this is the error message it produced:

DrupalComponentPluginExceptionMissingValueContextException: Required contexts without a value: view_mode in DrupalCorePluginContextContextHandler->applyContextMapping() (line 155 of /mnt/www/html/ucr01live/docroot/core/lib/Drupal/Core/Plugin/Context/ContextHandler.php).

This was discovered just this morning. Over the weekend, we updated our sites to Drupal Core 8.8.4 (updated form Drupal core 8.7.9) and Acquia Lightning 4.1.3. All our other sites are working fine. We’re still on PHP 7.2, though, but we’re not sure if this issue will be fixed if we upgrade to PHP 7.3.

Which on-page SEO factors affect the quality score of your landing pages? – SEO Help (General Chat)

Hi Friends,

The more relevant the ads, the more targeted the keywords, and the higher quality the landing pages, the better the click-through rate for the ads. This is in stark contrast to organic search results, which aren’t typically as reliant on click-through rate, because they have a whole host of other factors to consider.

customization – Create custom feed for child pages of a parent page

I have been trying to create URL feed for all child pages of a parent page. Those child pages have featured image and excerpt info (+author, published date)

I found here that is possible to create URL feed for just displaying only pages, but i would like that only from a specific page the child pages, going one level deep to one specific page.

I have been searching to find maybe a template that could loop the child pages of a parent page to combine with this tutorial , but with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

reverse proxy – Chaining multiple nginx error pages

I’m fighting a bit with nginx and try to get a “chain” of nginx error pages to work. Current state looks like this:

server {
    listen       443 ssl;
    server_name  ~^((?<repo>.*).)$;

    ssl_certificate /etc/pki/tls/certs/cert.pem;
    ssl_certificate_key /etc/pki/tls/private/key.pem;
    client_max_body_size 100M;

    location / {
        proxy_pass http://backend_example/example/${repo}$request_uri;
        proxy_http_version 1.1;
        proxy_buffering off;
        proxy_connect_timeout 300;
        proxy_intercept_errors on;

        proxy_set_header Host $host;
        proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr;
        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for;
        proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto $scheme;
        proxy_redirect off;

        rewrite  ^/$  /index.html  permanent;
        error_page 404 /backend_404.html;

    location /backend_404.html {
        proxy_pass http://backend_example/example/${repo}/404.html;
        proxy_intercept_errors on;

        error_page 404 /error.html;

    location /error.html {
        ssi on;
        root /usr/share/nginx/html;

What’s working:

  • if the file 404.html is available on the backend it will be delivered as intended
  • if the 404.html is not available on the backend I get the standard 404 from nginx instead of the local custom error.html
  • if I replace error_page 404 /backend_404.html; with error_page 404 /error.html; the error.html location also works

What I want to achieve:

  • if 404.html exists on the backend, deliver it
  • if 404.html not exist, deliver a custom error page error.html instead of the default one
