How do I get the ‘Find My’ map back in the Messages app ‘details’ popup on macOS?

I used to have a ‘Find my’ map on the details popup in Messages, useful for quick access to that info.

It disappeared around the time I upgraded to Catalina, so I assumed the feature was pulled. However, when I got a new MBP 2 weeks ago, the feature reappeared, so there as probably something wrong with my old installation. It has now disappeared again, so why is that and how do I get it back?

jquery – Lightcase modal popup is acting as an iframe

I’m using Lightcase and Gantry 5 (it already comes in Gantry 5) helium theme to open the login page inside a modal popup, the popup is called as follows:

<a title="Login" href="http://localhost/wp-login.php" data-rel="lightcase">
Access</a>

It is working, but the popup is working like an iframe. When the user logs in, instead of the entire page getting redirected, it’s the modal popup content that is redirecting, in other words, it is acting as if it was an iframe.

I need the entire website to redirect, not what’s inside the popup.

You can replicate this action by installing gantry 5 Helium theme: http://gantry.org/downloads

xss – Popup alert even when a site deletes the alert function | bypass

A website fully filter the alert function from his website, and replace it with an empty string, but I want to bypass it and still popup an alert, I am trying to solve an XSS challenge, and I figure out that the site identify the double “l” char, and fully removes the string.

http://alertmywebsite.com/2.php?xss=<script>allert(1)</script>

the output is <script>allert(1)</script>, and when I remove the second “l”, the output is <script></script>, Only the “l” is still showing the alert function, any other double char is fully removes the string How can I bypass it ?

Sorry, wrong forum. please move it to information security

magento2 – How to display popup to confirm before add to cart in Magento 2?

I want to show a popup when a user first click on the button “add to cart”. The popup will show please choose the inventory source. Example in my stock have inventory source INS-1 and INS-2. The user choose the inventory source (ex: INS-1) I will save it on the cookie. When user click on the “Confirm” button. I will check the product sale able in that inventory source before add to shopping cart. Example: user choose INS-1 check product is sale able in INS-1. If product can salable then add product to cart. Else show the message “The product cannot sale able”.

I create an observer can check the product salable by inventory source when the user click on add to cart button. But I don’t know how to call that observer after user click confirm button instead click add to cart button. and I don’t know how to prevent add to cart button before user click confirm button on the popup.

Please help me, How to do that?

Thank you so much, BienHV

popup – Since late 2019, why are we seeing a massive increase in pop-up notifications, and why do UI designers think this is a good idea?

This might be slightly broad, but I think most of the questions on this site are somewhat subjective and broad anyway.

Since about late 2019, the number of pop-up notifications and potentially similar types of notifications has suddenly increased dramatically. Every other time I open a website or a program on my computer, even if it's something I use every day, I keep having to dismiss notifications that I simply don't care about. Quite often these notifications are designed to let the user know about certain updates and UI tweaks. . . but they're completely irrelevant 99% of the time and are quite stressful and distracting from the core features of the website or program.

Stack Exchange responded very well to a related question and has generally kept their sites very clean from this type of thing. Personally I feel that is one of the reasons Stack Exchange is as popular as it is: While it does provide notifications, they are generally relevant, and they are generally not distracting pop-ups that have to be dismissed.

In that context, notifications are great, but pop-up notifications and irrelevant distractions are deterrents against continued use of a site. So why, just about everywhere else except SE, have pop-up notifications suddenly multiplied since late 2019, and why do UI designers not see this as a bad thing?
