powerbi – DAX with IF and OR

I create a DAX to answer the following question.

High priority is any of the following:

  • Contracted priority is not L4, or
  • MHF/HACCP > 399, or
  • Work Priority < 3

High Priority = IF(‘WO Feedback'(Contracted Priority) > “L4” || ‘WO Feedback'(HACCP/MHF) > 399 || ‘WO Feedback'(Work Priority) < 3, “YES”, “NO”)

The following error message popped up
“DAX comparison operations do not support comparing values of type Text with values of type Integer. Consider using the VALUE or FORMAT function to convert one of the values”.

Can you please advise the correct Dax and errors in my DAX?

sql server – SQL Dynamic Query based on user input in PowerBI

I am pulling data from inSQL using the SQL Query below:

SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER OFF

SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(INSQL, "SELECT DateTime, (X),(Y), (Z), (A)

FROM WideHistory

WHERE wwRetrievalMode = 'Cyclic'

AND wwResolution = 1000

AND wwVersion = 'Latest'

AND DateTime >= '20210601 20:02:33.000'

AND DateTime <= '20210607 20:02:34.000'")

I’m using this table in PowerBI and want (X),(Y), (Z), (A) & the DateTime values to dynamically change based on user input.

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I am new to PowerBI and SQL.

powerbi – Power BI refresh dataflow keep a snapshot of data

my requirement is to be able to save the past state of an entity at a certain point of time. Currently when the dataflow is refreshed, the past state is lost and only the current one is displayed. Is there a way to do it? I tried setting up the incremental refresh but not sure if it fits the requirement.

The ideal would be having the table with a column snapshot date that is populated by the current refresh time and at each refresh this table will be populated by new rows and a new refresh time instead of replacing all the rows.

powerbi – Custom connector return an empty string in Power apps

I’m using an API to fetch some data about clients in power apps, and I create a custom connector based in a postman collection, but my return in both platforms is different, in postman I receive an array of objects but in power apps I receive an empty string, what can I do to receive the same value that I receive in Postman?

powerbi – How to calculate roll up summary using dax

Hi I have a dataset like this, the date difference between each sprint is 14 days.

DateBegin   Sprint   Points
1/2/2021    Sprint1   30
1/16/2021   Sprint2   40
1/30/2021   Sprint3   20
2/13/2021   Sprint4   70
2/27/2021   Sprint5   90
3/11/2021   Sprint6   55
3/25/2021   Sprint7   40

I wanted to calculate the Sum average using the last 3 sprints.
for example

for Sprint7- sum(Sprint6+Sprint5+Sprint4)/3
For Sprint6- sum(Sprint5+Sprint4+Sprint3)/3

Something like For each Sprint look up the last 3 sprints and Sum them up and take the average(measure).

powerbi – Power BI Capacity/Tenant/Gateway – where does the data sit and flow?

I have a scenario with Power Bi Premium where it has been very difficult to get a straight answer or find information that answers the question.

Our Power BI tenant is located in Australia, our Power BI Premium capacity is located in Switzerland, our on premise data is located in UK.

When configuring the on-premise data gateway, you are forced to create the connection in the default tenant region, this being Australia.

If you are a Swiss users with a workspace configured to use the Swiss hosted capacity is all data now flowing from UK > Australia > Switzerland Capacity?

Are reports rendering from a swiss user perspective;

  • Via the PBI service in Aus using the swiss capacity directly?
  • in the same datacentre location as the capacity?

I’m not sure how else to describe it and hope it makes sense. This just seems like a non enterprise ready setup perfornace wise and hope I’ve miss interpreted what I’ve been reading.

Thanks

powerbi – Unable to get Sharepoint Online data Web data source for Power BI

What I wanted to do is to get the data for Power BI from web datasource. The excel data was uploaded in sharepoint online as document and then I copied link for url data source on the power BI side. It was working perfectly few days ago. But now whenever I want to retrieve data from web it always says “

DataSource.error

web browsercontents currently supports only anonymous credentials

enter image description here

Even if I clear the global permission through File>Options and Settings>Data source Settings>Global Permission>Clear All Permission, the results is still unable to get the data from web source. What could go wrong?
Any suggesiont?I have been 3 days stuck in this problem and unable to solve it until now.

Appreciate for your help.

powerbi – How to configure the client certificate in Power BI desktop to authenticate with mutual TLS

I am trying to connect to a private data source from Power BI desktop. Data source has its own trusted root authority. I created my personal certificate and private key signed by this root CA. I configured the PFX file of my certificate in “personal” folder in windows’ certificate management UI. I also added the root CA as trusted CA.

Power BI desktop does not seem to pick up this certificate and fails the mutual TLS authentication. I added my cert to firefox and opened the server url, it is able to authenticate me fine using mutual TLS there.

What am I doing missing?
