What preset can be used to achieve similar desaturated colors?

What preset can be used to achieve similar desaturated colors as Andrea Dabene? Props if I can also take these pics SOOC (film simulations) on a Fuji. Example pics here.

8 – How can I use one of the pre-set email texts for user registration in a custom module

At /admin/config/people/accounts, there are several stock email messages set.

How can I use one of these when I am sending emails from a custom module?

The text that’s being used in “Welcome (new user created by administrator)” is all that I need, plus there’s the bonus that our client can edit this email in the future if they want to.

I can send the message easily enough using:

$params = (
   'title' => "My Title",
   'subject' => "An Account Has Been Created for you",
   'message' => Html::escape("Some text here")
 );

$result = $mailManager->mail($module, $key, $to, $language_code, $params, NULL, true);

Is there a variable somewhere to get the pre-entered text?

equipment recommendation – How can I take pictures at preset times throughout a day?

I need to take a close up picture of an object at up to 8 different, pre-programmed times a day (i.e. 6:00am, 7:00am, 7:30am, 12:00pm, 2:30pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm, 8:00pm).

I have looked at trail cameras but they seem to be mostly motion triggered.
Intervalometers seem to be only programmable at time intervals like every so many hours.

I will have Wifi access at the camera location and would like to minimize costs.

Lightroom Classic 9.4: enabled “store presets with my catalog” but when I imported an .xmp preset, it was NOT inside my catalog

as above.

I did a search on my catalog folder (on a mac so I used the find command/terminal) and no xmp file there. But I can see the imported preset inside a folder called “ImportedSomethingSomething” which is located inside an Adobe folder (in my case it’s inside /User/myuser/Library/Application Support/Adobe).

Am I doing something wrong? How can I make Lightroom behave like what the setting says it should do which is “store presets with my catalog”.

Thanks

lightroom – LR Preset Automation

I work for a used car dealership. We take 60-65 photos for each vehicle, bring them to lightroom to color grade, crop, and straighten. This process takes about 10-15 minutes per truck and requires a person to be sitting at a computer and work through the process. There is little variation between vehicles. Our photos are shot in the same order every time, in a light-controlled room to avoid differences in color and amount of light.

I would like to automate the process of applying the presets we have to each image. (Exterior photos receive a different preset than interior photos, red vehicles get different presets than black ones, etc.) I have 3 presets for exterior images, one for interior, and would eventually like to make a preset for each angle individually.

Is there a way, most likely thought a Light Room plugin, that will pull the images in order and apply the presets in sequence?

The first image in the selection —> preset 1
The second image in the selection —> preset 2
and so on.

I looked through other forums hoping other people have asked this question before, and to my misfortune have not found anything similar to what I am looking for. Ant help would be appreciated.

pdf – Batch print with printer preset in MacOS

I have 50+ documents to print with the exact same printer settings and I’m trying to batch print them using the existing printer preset. What I’ve done so far:

  • open all documents in one preview windows on El Capitan -> doesn’t work, prints all documents as one document instead of separate ones (e.g. if the documents have an odd number of pages, the next documents is printed on the back of the last page)
  • Try a python script to create a pdf made of all my needed documents in the right format, so that I could print it and separate the documents manually -> unsucessfull as my python skills are not that great + needs to be done again everytime the situation happens again.
  • change the cups settings and hit cmd+P in the finder -> doesn’t work as I can’t get the right margin settings in CUPS + the solution is not a long term one as one would need to tinker with CUPS every time a new batch job with different settings has to be done, eventually loosing the overview of what has changed.

In short, I would need the preview printing dialog batch applying to a bunch of documents or an applescript/automator etc. that can use existing printer preset (those must be stored somewhere in the system, I don’t know where) and apply it to selected documents. Any idea?

System: 10.14 but I can use 10.11 if needed.
