How to remove "image results" or "video results"

I’m using Google Chrome and I’m on Windows 10. Is there anyway I can filter search results in a specific way that video and image results are blocked? For example let’s say I don’t want to see the image and video results when I type in sports. like this and this How do block these image results and video results? This is for filtering purposes. Thanks in advance.

"video markup" vs. "video sitemap"

I have already implemented a video sitemap based on Google's recommendation. Now I read about video markups. The only information that I got about the relationship between the two approaches is:

Use both page markers and video sitemaps. A common scenario is to use on-page markup for all your videos and a video sitemap to let Google know about new, time-sensitive, or hard-to-find videos.

Afaik, the video sitemap is used by search engine providers, eg. Bing just seems to start with the support of JSON-LD.

Is there a reason why video markups are used in addition to video sitemaps?
