Networking – Disabling the flashing Wi-Fi button – Ubuntu 16.04 – r8822be

The Wi-Fi button on my HP with Ubuntu 16.04 always flashes when there's network activity, which is pretty annoying.

Some solutions to the problem were found by setting the parameter led_mode (eg with the driver module "iwlwifi" here: WLAN-LED continuously blinks UBUNTU 14.04 and slows down the connection).

Unfortunately, the driver "r8822be" does not provide such a parameter.
Does anyone know another solution to the problem?
