SQL Server 2016 Reporting Services can not find an instance after a direct upgrade

I have a sharepoint list that contains a custom field (designed as a .wsp solution), a file upload control, and two rendering templates (display and editing templates). The Ad template displays the URL of the file that was uploaded with the custom field as an ASP hyperlink.

Then, I created a .rdl report with Report Builder to display the URL attribute value of the hyperlink field in one of the columns. The SSRS report displays the URL attribute value of the custom field without any problem.

However, the problem lies in the display of the hyperlink URL attribute value when the same SSRS report is uploaded to the Share Point server under the Site Assets folder in one of the existing Site Collections. The hyperlink URL attribute value is not displayed (all associated custom field controls are blank). I used CAML Query (with the query designer in ssr's report builder tool) to query the list of client details from the SharePoint list (which contains details about the file upload control, including other text boxes).
