whois – Does “Registry Domain ID” change on transfer

This command was run in 2019:

bob@linux ~ $ whois examplexyz.com
   Domain Name: examplexyz.com
   Registry Domain ID: 1234567890_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN
   Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.fastdomain.com
   Registrar URL: http://www.fastdomain.com
   ...

This command was run in 2020:

bob@linux ~ $ whois examplexyz.com
   Domain Name: examplexyz.com
   Registry Domain ID: 1234567890_DOMAIN_COM-VRSN
   Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.godaddy.com
   Registrar URL: http://www.godaddy.com
   ...

So even after transferring to a different registrar, the Registry Domain ID stays the same.

Note that the values have been changed, but only on a like-for-like basis.

Whois services violates GDPR guidelines? [closed]

I wonder how WHOIS servers still exist despite the implementation of the latest GDPR guidelines. I can see that domain names without activated WHOIS protection / data protection service continue to make their personal / domain registration data publicly available via the domain registrar's whois server. Are these services not subject to strict regulations?

Wrong WHOIS report

Hi there,

I'm checking the host.co.za website, of course it's not free (but there is no website), but:

whois.net states that it is available
www.veroservers.com/whois indicates that it is registered and provides all registration details

Why this?

whois – Help with whois_pocs

I have just completed my CEH classes and am trying to play sports on my MAC.

I followed the installation on the web for recovery on OS X. I downloaded v5.1.0. I also follow the YouTube tutorial on RECON-NG.

I have problems in various areas that don't seem to work for me.
to like –

show modules

[recon-ng][default] > show modules Shows various framework items

    Usage: show

use whois_pocs
[!] Invalid command: use whois_pocs.

I had done it too marketplace install all
I still have problems.

What have I done wrong?

  1. GoDaddy public whois questions

Someone who ever has problems with GoDaddy where you whois public / public with them, but other whois servers, eg. For example, domaintools, whois.net, and so on, make it private? It's about five days ago and other whois servers still need to reflect the public information. I also turned to GoDaddy, who unfortunately has a terrible support and of which they have no idea.

Is such a hosting provider trustworthy? (Privacy for the whois information of the domain)

I do not quite understand why the domain names of many hosting providers have taken the whois privacy policy.
If it is an individual, it is easy to understand that it does not want to be overly disturbed. However, as a hosting provider, does not he want others to contact him? Is such a business trustworthy?

I can seem to think:
1] He does not want to reveal his true information, they seem to be hiding.
2] If his business goes bankrupt, he can open a new business undisturbed.

I do not know if my understanding is right. If something is wrong, please give me more advice.

Need .ru registrar with whois privacy

.RU needs some additional information that should be provided.
So you either risk a dummy and make it available or look for someone who is your deputy.

To be on the safe side and make sure you do not lose the domain name, you should give the correct information.

By the way, you can try domaindiscount24, the service of Key System in Germany.
But her .ru is a bit expensive.
