Exploit – Replicate a demo of a Win7 vulnerability

For educational purposes, I would like to repeat what is done in the video, in which a guy shows how the Eternal Blue exploit can be used against Windows 7.

I understand the parts of the video and it only takes 5 minutes to show that it works. But if I understand it correctly, I have to run Windows7 and I do not have it available (I usually use Windows 10 and Linux). Would it make sense to use one of the Microsoft VMs for Windows 7? Https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/ Or how can I make sure I make a version of Windows 7 vulnerable? ? Would it even work to run Win7 in a VM, or does it have to be native and / or host other than the attacker?

Would it be reasonable to try to replicate the demo or would it be too difficult or too time-consuming to set it up if you had a few days to reach it? What other problems can I encounter besides acquiring a version of Windows7 that is actually vulnerable?

Take a video of still images that can be played using Win7 Powerpoint

in terms of the image size H x B and the total size of the video file, and what kind of video file what is the best Method to capture a series of still images into a smoothly playable video file that will work well in PowerPoint for a briefing?

so far

  • I have 720 .tiff files, which make one turn every 1/2 °, but I can reduce them to 180 still images
  • In Windows 7, use MakeDVI.exe to create an AVI file
    • There is Microsoft RLE, Intel iYUV, completely uncompressed. create this> GB file that will not play
    • There is Microsoft Video 1, which seems to work the most reliable and creates> 100 MB of AVI
    • There is Cinepak Codec from Radius
    • You can also select images per second
  • Depending on the AVI compression used, playback may or may not be done in Windows Media Player in Windows 7
  • Problems in every way have to play AVI smoothly when embedded in Power Point
  • need to stay in PowerPoint and Windows Media Player to ensure compatibility and portability between work environments (win 7/8/10)

Do I first have to convert the 5 MB .tiff files (x720) to .jpg or something else, where each .jpg file is in KB?

and with 720 images at 30 fps = 24 seconds for 1 turn I also want to have the ability to play faster, like slowing down 1 turn in 3 seconds or 1 turn in 24 seconds.

Which video format should I choose to achieve smooth playback in Microsoft PowerPoint and be portable between display computers (with or without a video card, etc.)?

Development – I started building my own blockchain based on mastering Bitcoin books with Git on Win7, and I have a problem

I started learning how to build a blockchain from Antonopoulos book with Git Bash and I have a problem.
I used commands:
git clone github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin.git
cd bitcoin
Git tag
git checkout v0.11.2
and when i try to use command ./autogen.sh
The following information appears on the screen:
./autogen.sh: line 9: autoreconf: command not found.

Where is the problem? What am I doing wrong? I need some libraries?

Windows 7 – Win7, process of file sharing

I want to recognize which process (such as svchost.exe) in Windows 7 is responsible for file sharing and set its priority to high.
The problem is that a hardware media player connected to a shared Windows folder sometimes hurries when I use Chrome or a Java IDE.
How can I identify the priority setting process, or is there another way to do it? play with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control PriorityControl Win32PrioritySeparation?
Many Thanks.
