8 – How to build a rule reacting to the node’s workflow state change with Drupal 9 Business rules and in-core Workflows modules?

I’m building a publishing workflow with Drupal 9. Unfortunately, Rules and Workflow modules are not yet supported fully by D9. Hence, I decided to give the Business rules as well as in-core Workflows and Content moderation modules a try.

Within the workflow, I need to send an email to the node’s author every time the workflow state is changed. However, I haven’t found any specific related conditions. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

sharepoint enterprise – Infopath hanging on “Sending data to the server” even though data was sent. but workflows don’t begin

My InfoPath form had been working fine but suddenly any new entries after submit hang on “Sending data to the server”.
Oddly enough the new data is written BUT the workflows that should begin now do not.
The other clue is that I can still start the approval workflow manually but when I try to approve, after clicking “approve” now it would just be stuck on “Working on it – please wait while your task is updated.”

And lastly when I try to manually approve it through “workflows” on the browser, I get

Sorry, something went wrong
This task is currently locked by a running workflow and cannot be edited.

I have scoured the web for answers, I have tried everything from clearing the browser cache to swapping over a “larger” copy of Core.js and nothing.

I could sure use some good karma back my way. I have a day trying to get this to work.

I am unable to create new workflows using sharepoint designer 2013 on new site collections

I am unable to create new workflows using SharePoint Designer 2013 on new site collections.

When I check for errors I am getting All tasks that need to have at least one outcome defined. And when I check to see the task information, there are no items in the Task Outcomes section.

SP environment: SP 2013
Workflow platform type: SharePoint 2013 Workflow

Does anyone have a solution to fixing this?

nintex – Workflow history is not available for the Completed workflows in SharePoint Online

We have Nintex workflow implemented in SharePoint Online.

If the workflow is completed, then there is no data available under Completed workflow.

But if the workflow is In progress then the workflow data is available under running workflow.

Also, this behavior is observed with items that are more than 1 month old.

Can anyone help here to understand what is exactly happening here?

node.js – Managing external-source depending workflows and rollback

I am looking for an elegant way to manage workflows and rollback when needed but the system is depending on various external services most steps of these workflows are triggering by external sources (like webhooks).

An example scenario for a subscription system:

1) User sends a subscription request
2) The subscription created on the database with `status=pending`
3) Subscription request sent to Stripe
4) (Stripe does some black magic -like credit card verification-)
5) Stripe informs the results of subscription (succeeded or failed) to our app via an HTTP request (God knows when, maybe in 10 seconds, maybe in 10 hours)
6) Update the subscription on the database `status=active` or `status=failed`
7) doSomeOtherImportantStuffWithSubscription()

Now, in this flow, if any of these steps fails for some reason (an exception thrown, database connection error, Stripe card verification error etc.) I want to rollback all the previous steps. But handling all this flow with a bunch of if-else statements is probably the worst idea, and I wonder if there is an elegant and standardized way to achieve this rollback mechanism.

I’m looking for a framework-agnostic solution but if it’s important this is our tech stack:

MoleculerJS (with TypeScript)

Stripe API

MySQL 5.7.26

UPDATE

An example of what I’m trying to achieve:

1) User sends a subscription request
2) The subscription created on the database with `status=pending`
3) Subscription request sent to Stripe
4) (Stripe does some black magic -like credit card verification-)
5) Stripe informs the results of subscription (succeeded or failed) to our app via an HTTP request (God knows when, maybe in 10 seconds, maybe in 10 hours)
6) Update the subscription on the database **failed because of a connection error**
7) Cancel Subscription on Stripe (reverse of 5th step)
8) Delete subscription request from the database (reverse of 2nd step)

views – Workflows within teams or groups

How I go about implementing editorial workflows within a group of users?
I have user identified with a taxonomy term, for example, a per country or per team-based group.

To simplify configuration and avoid adding more extensions, I went about creating a taxonomy, e.g. “Groups”, within that I have the groups, e.g. “Group A” and “Group B” and then each user is related to that group through a field in the user Account Settings.

Team A

  • John Doe – role: Author – taxonomy: Team A
  • Jane Doe – role: Reviewer – taxonomy: Team A

Team B

  • Jake Ryan – role: Author – taxonomy: Team B
  • Joane Ryan – role: Reviewer – taxonomy: Team B

My objective is that when John Doe creates content, the workflow only emails the Reviewer of that group: Jane Doe.

I do struggle to understand the group module. From what I’ve heard about it, I guess it would solve all my problems, but I’m having a lot of difficulties finding information (tutorials, documentation) that would allow me to grasp all the concepts this module introduces.

Retrieve SharePoint 2010/2013 workflows in SharePoint 2013 using CSOM

I need to write CSOM Code to retrieve the SharePoint 2010/2013 workflows. I am able to get only 2013 workflows only. Below is the code:

WorkflowAssociationCollection workflowcollection = list.WorkflowAssociations;

Context.Load(workflowcollection);

context.ExecuteQuery();

foreach(WorkflowAssociation WFassociation in workflowcollection)

{

  workflowName = workflowName+ WFassociation.Name.ToString()+";";

}

But this code is giving only 2013 workflows. How to retrieve 2010 workflows?

workflows – How can I add admin comments to webform submissions?

First time question, apologies for any mistakes.

I’m using the workflow module maestro, and in combination with webform i am attempting to add a section to show admin level comments as part of a moderation workflow.

I haven’t attempted much yet but could use some suggestions on how best to achieve this?

I could make the webform a node and attach a comment block with permission controls, i could write a custom maestro module and add a custom task to achieve this also.
