Unable to access Printer Xerox Altalink C 8030

I’m unable to access the printer Xerox Altalink C 8030. This is an intermittent issue.
I am able to ping the printer all the time but when I try to telnet the printer it frequently losses connectivity with the server. The SMTP server is the exchange server, but this is not located at the same site. It’s overseas. All the users are able to use email, recently we added the Application Accelerator device, ever since it’s been giving the problems. The network team tested and informed that it’s not the issue from the Network layer.
