web api – Configuring request to third-party API, so the return stream bypasses the backend

My web app provides features on top of IBM Watson’s text-to-speech service. Using this service involves using an API key and so the requests have to be sent from the backend. However, if I receive the returned audio stream at the server and then forward it to the front-end, then the user will experience an unnecessary delay (namely, had he written his own local script, he would get the results faster). Can I somehow configure the request to IBM’s servers so that the results be returned directly to the front-end, bypassing my server?
