windows – There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request

When trying to RDP a 2012 Windows server, using domain admin credentials, the connection is fast and successful. When trying to connect via local administrator, rdp takes far too long to establish and then I receive the errow below:

At this point, when selecting ‘Other user’ and then use my local admin credentials, the connection is successful

I just can’t understand why this started happening out of the blue. It is needed for the RDP connection to be fast and successful, just like it is happening when using domain admin credentials

Tried:

Unjoining/rejoining computer to the domain (resetting server computer name)
Checked DNS for duplicates
Checked for local admin in RDC group

Anyone faced this before? Please share any idea on how to focus on the root cause
